NAPA, CA – A Napa Recycling truck veered off the road and crashed into the Napa Nissan dealership Wednesday morning, prompting a temporary closure of Soscol Avenue. The incident, which occurred around 8:08 a.m., sent the truck driver to the hospital, although their condition has not yet been released.

According to Napa Fire Capt. Ben Langford, emergency dispatchers received reports of the accident, which involved a tractor-trailer running off the northbound lane of Soscol Avenue and crashing into the building. The cause of the crash remains unclear, with authorities still investigating why the semitrailer left the roadway.

The roadway was closed for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene, but Soscol Avenue reopened by the late morning. The damage to the dealership and truck was significant, though no other injuries were reported.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, Napa Police announced the arrest of a man and a woman on Wednesday evening in connection with the suspected sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl last month. The police department did not provide further details on the individuals involved but confirmed that the arrests were made following an extensive investigation.

As both incidents are under investigation, authorities continue to seek further information and are urging the public to come forward with any tips that may aid in their inquiries.
