NAPA COUNTY, CA — The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the driver responsible for a hit-and-run collision that left a bicyclist injured on Silverado Trail this past Sunday. The incident occurred between 4:10 and 4:20 p.m. near Chimney Rock Winery, prompting an immediate response from local authorities.

According to the CHP, a dark gray Toyota Avalon sedan struck the bicyclist, causing injury, and then fled the scene without stopping to assist or speak with authorities. Investigators have released a description of the suspect vehicle, which was missing its right-side mirror at the time of the crash.

The driver involved in the collision is described as a woman between the ages of 25 and 30, with long black hair, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. Authorities are hoping that someone may have seen the vehicle or witnessed the incident, and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The Napa CHP has set up a hotline for tips and is asking anyone who may have seen the dark gray Toyota Avalon or has information about the crash to contact their office at 707-699-6300.
