FAIRFIELD, CA — Two individuals were discovered dead inside a home early Wednesday morning, with authorities investigating the incident as a possible murder-suicide.

The Fairfield Police Department responded to reports of two injured people at a residence on the 1400 block of Woolner Avenue shortly before 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found the bodies of a man and a woman inside the home, both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Detectives and crime scene investigators have since taken over the investigation, working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the deaths. At this time, law enforcement officials are treating the incident as a murder-suicide, though no further details have been released regarding the events leading up to the deaths.
