NAPA COUNTY, CA — Authorities are actively searching for Antonio Roman-Vega, 39, who disappeared in November 2024 while awaiting sentencing for multiple counts of assault on a minor with intent to commit rape. Roman-Vega, who was under GPS monitoring, was last detected on November 8 in Earlimart, a small community just north of Delano, California. Authorities believe he may have entered a retaining pond in the area, though a subsequent search by Tulare County sheriff’s deputies yielded no sign of his whereabouts.

Roman-Vega was facing a lengthy prison sentence of 25 years for the charges against him. His disappearance, which occurred shortly before his sentencing, has raised concerns among law enforcement and the local community. Despite efforts to locate him, he remains at large.

In a recent development, Roman-Vega’s black Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was spotted on March 10 in Delano, some four months after his disappearance. This sighting has prompted authorities to renew their search, hoping that this new lead will help locate him.

The Napa Police Department has issued an appeal to the public for any information that may lead to Roman-Vega’s capture. They are asking anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to contact the department at 707-257-9223.

Roman-Vega’s case has garnered attention not only due to the severity of his charges but also due to the mystery surrounding his escape. Authorities continue to investigate leads, and the public is urged to stay vigilant and report any relevant information to law enforcement.
