NAPA COUNTY, Calif. — Oakville Grade Road was shut down to all traffic late Thursday afternoon west of Dry Creek Road, according to an announcement from the Napa County Sheriff’s Office.
The closure, which took effect at approximately 4:24 p.m., was confirmed via a public advisory from the sheriff’s office. Officials urged motorists to seek alternate routes while the situation is being addressed.
Authorities have not yet released details regarding the cause of the closure, and there is currently no estimated time for when the road will reopen. It remains unclear whether the shutdown was due to a traffic incident, hazardous conditions, or another emergency.
The Napa County Sheriff’s Office continues to monitor the situation and said further updates would be provided as more information becomes available.
Motorists planning to travel through the area are advised to check for traffic alerts and road conditions before heading out.
