Sonoma County, CA – Three individuals were arrested on Thursday in connection with a recent string of burglaries across Sonoma County, after sheriff’s deputies spotted a vehicle suspected of being involved in the crimes. The arrests followed a coordinated effort by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, who had been investigating a series of break-ins over the past few weeks.

Deputies on patrol alerted detectives to a black Jeep Grand Cherokee, which had been linked to several burglaries. The vehicle was reportedly seen leaving the scene of one burglary that had recently been under investigation. During this burglary, credit cards belonging to the victim were stolen and later used at various local stores, prompting further attention from law enforcement.

Detectives managed to conduct a traffic stop on the black Jeep Grand Cherokee as it exited the Santa Rosa Plaza mall. During the stop, three individuals were arrested: Anthony Miller, Britni Foy, and Romel Smith. The suspects were allegedly in possession of the victim’s stolen credit cards at the time of their arrest.

Romel Smith, who has a history of similar offenses in Sonoma County, was already known to authorities for past burglary-related arrests. Miller and Foy also have prior criminal records, including offenses related to theft. Smith remains in custody pending a court hearing, while Foy, who had an outstanding out-of-state warrant, is also being held in jail.

Miller was cited and released, with a requirement to appear in court at a later date.

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office has indicated that detectives are continuing their investigation to determine whether the arrested individuals are linked to additional crimes throughout the county.

All three suspects have been booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of burglary, and further investigations are underway to identify any other potential victims. The Sheriff’s Office has yet to release details on the full extent of the suspects’ alleged involvement in the ongoing criminal activity.
