NAPA, CA — A house fire in the Berryessa Estates neighborhood of Pope Valley was quickly extinguished Sunday morning, thanks to the efforts of a vigilant neighbor and responding firefighters.

The fire broke out shortly after 10 a.m. in a residence located on the 2400 block of Stagecoach Canyon Road. A nearby neighbor first spotted the flames and was able to slow the fire’s progress using a fire extinguisher before firefighters from Cal Fire and the Napa County Fire Department arrived on scene.

Fire crews swiftly contained and knocked down the blaze within minutes, preventing further damage. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Cal Fire officials have preliminarily determined that the fire was electrical in nature. The blaze displaced the home’s residents, who are now seeking alternate accommodations.

The incident highlights the importance of community awareness and prompt action during emergencies.
