NAPA COUNTY, CA — A new chapter in regional air travel is taking off in Napa County. JSX, a public charter jet service known for its semi-private flight experience, will begin seasonal operations at Napa County Airport this summer, offering direct flights to and from Southern California.
Following a unanimous vote by the Napa County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, JSX has been granted a space license agreement to operate out of the airport’s General Aviation Terminal. The agreement is in partnership with Skyservice Napa, a fixed-based operator currently overseeing development of a new terminal and hangar facility that will eventually serve as JSX’s permanent home.
Beginning July 3, JSX will offer non-stop flights between Napa and two Southern California destinations—Burbank and Orange County. The service will run four days a week—Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday—with one round-trip flight per day through November 2025. Introductory fares will start at $189 one-way, based on round-trip purchases.
“This is a significant milestone for Napa County and our airport,” said Anne Cottrell, Chair of the Napa County Board of Supervisors. “The introduction of this public charter jet service offers our community and visitors a more convenient and elevated travel option. It reflects our strategic use of airport space and our commitment to expanding regional connectivity.”
JSX’s service model focuses on streamlined, premium travel from smaller, secondary airports. Passengers can check in as little as 20 minutes before departure, bypass traditional TSA lines, and enjoy a business-class level of comfort with no middle seats, generous legroom, complimentary gourmet snacks and beverages, and free high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi onboard.
“Napa is one of the world’s most celebrated wine regions and deserves an equally refined travel experience to match,” said JSX CEO Alex Wilcox. “Our flights will allow travelers to arrive closer, faster, and in style—all at a price that’s still accessible.”
The expansion to Napa adds to JSX’s growing Northern California presence, which currently includes operations in Concord and Oakland. It also aligns with broader efforts to modernize and expand services at Napa County Airport. In 2022, the county approved 30-year fixed-base operator agreements aimed at revitalizing airport infrastructure, a project expected to bring an estimated $130 million in benefits to the region.
Airport Manager Mark Witsoe emphasized the importance of the new service, noting its role in elevating the airport’s profile. “This launch is not just about adding new flights—it’s part of a much larger vision to enhance the overall experience and utility of the Napa County Airport for both residents and visitors.”
With its combination of convenience, luxury, and strategic partnerships, JSX’s arrival signals a new era in Napa Valley travel—one that may set the tone for future expansions in the region’s air service offerings.
