Those who are going out less and getting tired of their own cooking might find cheer in the Soroptimists International of Sonoma Valley’s annual offer to “import” fresh lobster from Maine.

This year they are only selling cooked lobster, deemed by Soroptimists to be safer in these days of COVID, fires, smoke and power outages, according to Soroptimist member Juliette Andrews.

Each lobster weighs 1.5 pounds; price is $26. Supporters have raved about them over the past several years. All funds go to support local Soroptimists’ scholarships and support for young Sonoma women. Order by Thursday, Nov. 19. Call Andrews at 338-1874 or Cynthia Morris at 363-5509 to order.

Lobster pickups are Nov. 21 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the parking lot behind the Atrium Building at 670 W. Napa St., next to Papa Murphy’s Pizza.
