NAPA COUNTY, CA — A 28-year-old Vallejo man is facing multiple charges in two counties after a search warrant executed by the Napa Special Investigations Bureau (NSIB) at his residence uncovered a significant stash of drugs, cash, and firearms. The arrest stems from a traffic stop last month that led to further investigation by local authorities.

Joseph Collins, a Vallejo native, was first contacted by law enforcement in January when the Napa Police Department was conducting a patrol for impaired drivers. Officers observed Collins speeding, prompting a traffic stop. During the stop, authorities found seven baggies, each containing approximately one gram of suspected cocaine. This discovery led to a follow-up investigation by the NSIB, which specializes in tackling drug trafficking and human trafficking within Napa County.

On February 4, investigators obtained and executed a search warrant at Collins’ residence in Vallejo. During the search, they reportedly seized three pounds of cocaine, along with packaging materials, scales, a money counter, and MDMA powder. Authorities also discovered psilocybin mushrooms, five firearms, and several high-capacity magazines.

The investigation has since expanded to include charges in both Napa and Solano counties. The Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Collins will be facing multiple charges related to drug trafficking and firearm possession.

Collins’ arrest marks another significant operation in the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to dismantle drug trafficking networks operating in the region. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to assess the full scope of the criminal activities involved.
