NAPA, CA — The city of Napa is seeking public input on proposed improvements to a section of Lincoln Avenue, stretching from California Boulevard to the Silverado Trail. A community meeting was held on Monday, March 3, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the City Council chamber at 955 School Street to discuss the planned upgrades.
The proposed changes include extensive paving work, enhanced pedestrian crossings, and the introduction of additional safety features along the roadway. One of the key components of the plan is the reconfiguration of the street, which would add a two-way center turn lane, along with one through lane in each direction. The design also calls for buffered bike lanes, aimed at improving cyclist safety and encouraging more sustainable transportation options.
City officials emphasized the importance of community involvement in the planning process, urging local residents and stakeholders to share their thoughts and feedback during the meeting. The city is committed to making improvements that will not only enhance traffic flow but also increase safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers alike.
The proposed upgrades come as part of Napa’s ongoing efforts to modernize infrastructure and address the growing needs of the city’s transportation network. City leaders are optimistic that these changes will foster a more vibrant and accessible Lincoln Avenue for all members of the community.
For more information or to share feedback on the project, residents are encouraged to contact the City of Napa’s Public Works Department.
