NAPA, CA — A 21-year-old man from Vallejo was arrested on Friday by detectives from the Napa County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of possessing and distributing child pornography.
The man, identified as Elias David Arcilla, is facing multiple charges after an investigation revealed that he had in his possession over 600 images depicting child sexual abuse.
According to the sheriff’s office, Arcilla also stands accused of attempting to communicate with a minor with the intent of committing a sexual offense.
This additional charge further complicates the serious allegations against him. Arcilla, who is a former resident of American Canyon, remains in custody at the Napa County Jail. His bail has been set at $100,000.
Investigators are continuing to examine the case, and authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward.
The arrest highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat the distribution and possession of child pornography, as well as the increasing focus on preventing online predators from engaging with minors.
